Why four formulas, not one
Devine (1974) was built for aminoglycoside antibiotic dosing in pharmacies. Robinson, Miller, and Hamwi each adjusted the slope and intercept based on different population samples.
None of them was meant for body-image judgments. They differ by up to 7 kg for the same height — that's the size of the disagreement.
If you want one number to plan around, take the median. If you want context, show all four. Wulfy lets you set your own goal weight inside that range.
